Retrospective Change of Use Granted

Acting on behalf of private clients, Goadsby has obtained retrospective planning permission for the change of use of the former Summer Breeze Lodge Guest House at Southern Road, Southbourne, to a private dwelling. Having ceased trading two years ago, the building now provides substantial, good quality residential accommodation within a short walk of the shops at Southbourne Grove, as well as the beach.

The successful planning application was assessed against the tourism policy of the adopted Bournemouth Local Plan Core Strategy. BCP Council concluded that the loss of the holiday accommodation would not cause undue harm to the tourism function of the area.
